A document filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) reveals some interesting ingenuity from Apple regarding its wearables. Of course, the proposal is a priori eccentric. The document states that the Apple Watch’s color-changing technology uses a sensor that measures the amount of red, green, and blue light reflected. The team then “can determine the hue of the outer object based on its reflectivity”, eventually reproducing it.
This offer might be really interesting for Apple Watch users. Especially considering that the Californian company does not allow the use of spheres provided by third parties.
When will the Apple Watch Chameleons be released?
The aforementioned Apple Watch came in the form of a patent, and in that sense, it’s not an ongoing development, but rather a blueprint that the tech company sees as possible. Meanwhile, we cannot even guarantee that this idea will come true in the future.
