Vivo is clear that the most important part of a smartphone is the camera and wants to prove it with I live X80 Pro, the new flagship, announced a few months ago in China, is now arriving in Europe to go head-to-head with terminals like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or iPhone 13 Pro. In this case, he does so by associating Zeiss with the goal of improving the shooting experience. In addition, I bet on the latest from Qualcomm, wireless charging up to 50W and an on-screen fingerprint reader that is much more advanced than other Android phones.
One of the most striking aspects of the Vivo X80 Pro, aside from the camera, is its design. The manufacturer wanted to highlight the photographic section with a huge module that takes up a lot of space in the back. Not forgetting, yes, resistance; It includes IP68 certification, and an “all-screen” experience, as the terminal has a panel with virtually no bezels. This AMOLED screen it is 6.78 inches and includes QHD+ resolution440 x 3200 pixels as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 4700mAh battery that includes up to 80W fast charging and up to 50W wireless charging labeled as FlashCharge.
In terms of performance, Vivo X80 Pro has Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor, one of the most powerful SoCs to date, which we also see in terminals such as Xiaomi 12 Pro or Realme GT 2 Pro. In this case, the Qualcomm chip is accompanied by up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory. Vivo, on the other hand, has added ultrasonic fingerprint sensor capable of unlocking the terminal in just 0.2 seconds, according to the company. This scanner also has a detection area 11.1 times larger than other models.
Vivo maintains its commitment to Zeiss to improve the photographic section
The Vivo X80 Pro’s camera is without a doubt its most notable feature. At the technical level, the terminal, in particular, has main sensor 50 megapixels with f/1.6 aperture. accompanied 48MP ultra wide cameracapable of taking pictures at an angle up to 114º. It also includes two telephoto lenses. The first, 12-megapixel, allows you to take pictures with a 2x optical zoom. The second, whose resolution is reduced to 8 megapixels, is capable of capturing images at 5x magnification.
What separates this smartphone from the rest of its competitors lies in the modes and features that Vivo has included thanks to a collaboration with Zeiss, a German lens and optics manufacturer. One of these options is called Cinematic video bokeh, allowing you to capture images with an out-of-focus background at an aspect ratio of 2.39:1. The manufacturer also included a night mode, dubbed Clear night vision and a smart portrait mode called Camera Pan, which is capable of reducing blur that can be caused by subject movement.
The collaboration with Zeiss has also greatly improved the photos taken with the Vivo X80 Pro’s four lenses. According to the manufacturer, a technology called ZEISS Natural Color has been included. This one powered by AI allows you to generate more natural colors and more precise exposure for more realistic results.
Vivo X80 Pro also has its own image processing chip: Vivo V1+. This, also equipped with artificial intelligence, is able to automatically change the video mode depending on the ambient light.
