This Thursday, January 4, 2024, OnePlus launched its high-end model Ace 3 in China, which will enter the international market as 12Р.

This Ace 3 (12R) has an aluminum frame, glass back, rear camera housing and a three-stage alert slider.

It also features a 1.5K OLED display (LTPO, 120Hz) with a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. Of course, maximum brightness doesn’t really matter for the vast majority of users, but you still get 1,600 nits in High brightness mode and up to 800 nits when manually adjusting screen brightness.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging. Wireless charging is not offered. OnePlus also promises that the phone’s battery health will remain above 80% after four years of use (estimated at 1,600 charge cycles).

The Ace 3 features a triple rear camera system with a 50MP camera (IMX890, f/1.8, OIS) as the main camera. OnePlus says the phone uses photography algorithms borrowed from its flagship devices, but the software can only get you so far. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle + 2MP macro camera for a secondary rear camera.

The OnePlus Ace 3 will be available in China starting at CNY 2,599 (~$357) for the base 12GB/256GB model and going up to CNY 3,499 (~$492) for the top-end 16GB/1TB model. These are the expected prices at the OPPO store in China. It is available in Star Black, Mingsha Gold and Moon Sea Blue color options.
