Just a few days after the launch of new phones from the Poco brand, Xiaomi has officially announced the new Redmi Note 12, a new series of mid-range phones consisting of five new models; which include two variants with 4G connectivity, two with 5G and a Pro+ model with more powerful specs. The two most economical mobile phones in this range are Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 5G; which are actually very similar to each other. However, they also include important differences.
As the names suggest, Redmi Note 13 4G and Note 13 5G differ in connectivity options, which in turn is determined by the processor model. Redmi Note 13 4G, the most economical model of the entire new series, comes with Snapdragon 685 processor — the same chip we saw in the Redmi Note 12—. On the other hand, the 5G model includes Mediatek dimension 6080. In both cases, yes, with 6GB and 8GB RAM options, and 128GB or 256GB storage options.
4G and 5G models also come with 5000 mAh battery and fast charging 33 W. The two options also include NFC connectivity, although different versions of Bluetooth; 5.1 for the 4G version and 5.3 for the 5G model. There is also an interesting slight difference in sound. Additionally, while both have a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as Dolby Atmos audio support, only Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G has stereo sound.

Same cameras and screen with minor differences
The photographic section in both models is absolutely the same. Thus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G and 5G come with Main sensor 108 megapixels.
Both are accompanied by a second 8MP ultra-wide camera which also has an f/2.2 aperture. Followed by a third 8 megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera, both in 4G and 5G models, has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
As for the screen, we can also say that both options are the same, with two exceptions: brightness and panel resistance.
Let’s start with the fact that both the Redmi Note 12 4G and the 5G model have 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. They also have Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, and Redmi Note 13 4G reaches 1800 nits brightness. The 4G version also comes with Gorilla Glass 5, while the 4G version comes with Gorilla Glass 3.
And we end with the screen; Redmi Note 13 4G has Fingerprint scanner under the panel. On the other hand, the 5G model has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor even though both models have the same design; with the exception of the bezels, which are slightly narrower on the 5G model.
Price and availability of the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G and 5G
Both Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 5G are now available for purchase in Spain. The 4G model is available in black, mint green and blue. The 5G version has an additional color: Arctic White. These are prices for various RAM and storage configurations.
