It’s time to put the Galaxy S24 Ultra to the durability test of the JerryRigEverything channel. Youtuber Zack evaluated the resistance of titanium and the protection of the screen by subjecting the body of the device to various experiments.
As expected, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is quite sturdy. The structure of the device consists of a screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass Armor, a glass back, and titanium on the sides (except for the buttons).
Gorilla Glass Armor showed good scratch resistance, lasting up to level 7 without leaving significant marks. At level 8, risks become more apparent.
One of the most interesting parts of the resistance test is the titanium on the sides of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Zack found that the system is not immune to risks, but must be resilient to impacts.
More durability than iPhone 15 Pro
A sensitive point of the evaluation is the pressure test: the glass back of the iPhone 15 Pro could not withstand the force of the YouTuber’s fingers, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra came out in one piece with no signs of cracks.
In the video, you can see that Zack applied enough force to make the cell phone twitch slightly, but it didn’t have a lasting effect. This flexibility must have provided the device with the resistance needed to keep the glass intact.
According to Samsung, pre-sales of the Galaxy S24 series were better than pre-sales of the Galaxy S23 in Latin America. HS Jo, CEO of Samsung in the region, believes that the good launch is due to innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), which is one of the best products of 2024.
