Samsung is set to update its mid-range cell phones, with the Galaxy A55 being the model that monopolizes the most attention. It doesn’t cost less. Its predecessor, Galaxy A54., sold 8.8 million units. At the moment, Samsung has not announced an event to launch its new mobile phones, but they are expected to debut in the first quarter of the year. Galaxy A55: features and specifications
As is customary in the mobile phone industry, several sources have revealed what the specifications and specifications of the Galaxy A55 will be, which by the way will be very similar to the Galaxy A54. They are talking about a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. Reports suggest that the most noticeable changes will be in the design, especially in the form factor of the case, which will have some sort of protrusion in the area of the power and volume buttons. Another noticeable change will be the finish of the chassis, which will likely remain plastic but will have a finish that looks like an aluminum frame.
The battery will remain standard at 5,000 mAh with 25W fast charging.
Other features will include Android 14 with One UI 6.1, WiFi 6 support and Bluetooth 5.3. You will also have the option to expand the storage using a microSD card.
Galaxy A55: price and release date
We’ll know the price of the Galaxy A55 when Samsung officially unveils it. Looking at what’s happened in 2023, the launch should take place in mid-March and be priced at $449 for the 128GB model and $549 for the 256GB model.
As for the release date, everything points to it being available in April.
We expect the base model to be priced at least 9,999 pesos in Mexico.
