These macOS Sequoia features won’t be available on Intel Macs
Not all Macs will benefit from the full Apple Intelligence experience!
Apple has released macOS Sequoia, the latest version of its operating system, bringing with it a host of new features and improvements. But this time, not all Macs will be able to enjoy the full experience. MacBook users with Intel processors will be deprived of some new features related to productive artificial intelligence.
As confirmed at WWDC 24, most features are available on Intel and Apple Silicon. Live audio transcription will only be available on Apple Silicon-powered Macs with an M1 chip or later.
Audio and summary transcription not supported on Intel Macs
Voice transcription and summary provided by Apple Intelligence allow you to automatically take notes while the user pays attention in situations where he does not want to miss a single detail.. This makes it possible to obtain live audio transcriptions along with comments, checklists or documents.
According to Apple support documentation, This option is available on Mac computers with Apple Silicon in English.
While live audio transcription is extremely useful considering new interaction formats that include remote communication in almost every field, the good news is that: Many of the updates that also enable new ways of working are not available on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs at all.
