We were impressed Xiaomi 14 Ultra this year. Now, it looks like its successor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, is getting closer to release.

According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the new phone could be unveiled in January in China before it debuts globally. Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in March. Their arrival in China is scheduled for the Lunar New Year, which is January 29.

There is limited information available about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra at this time. However, Brar suggests that the phone could compete with upcoming models. Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung, which is also expected to launch early next year.

Brar also mentions that the new Xiaomi phone could be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip and, like its predecessor, will feature a quad-camera system. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip is likely to be a vital component of the Galaxy S25 series.

In June, one source claimed that the chip would debut in a new Xiaomi phone. Digital Chat Station also claimed that the phone would feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel vertical macro telephoto lens with 3x zoom. Brar also mentioned these specs in his X post.

The Xiaomi phone is also rumored to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage for improved performance. You can also expect an improved stereo speaker setup and a larger battery compared to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

We’ve learned a lot more about Samsung’s next flagship device in recent weeks. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, which could be called the Galaxy S25 Note, is expected to have a new look and include several new features compared to its predecessor. Galaxy S24 Ultra.

It will be interesting to see how similar the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is to the Galaxy S24 Ultra/Note. We should know early next year.
