If you have Galaxy Clock 7 and you’re experiencing vibration without receiving notifications, you’re not the only one. Dozens of users have reported this phenomenon on their smartwatches. They vibrate randomly for no apparent reason. “Ghost vibrations” can come from WhatsApp, Google Maps and other Samsung apps.

A post on the official Samsung forums details the issue that some Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra owners are experiencing. According to the author, smartwatches vibrate several times for no apparent reason at a frequency that can drive you crazy. The worst thing is that phantom vibrations also occur when notifications are turned off connection.

Reports indicate that the problem may be related to Google Maps, WhatsApp or Samsung Health. In the case of Maps, vibration occurs when screen mirroring is enabled, so you’ll only need to disable it and reboot your Galaxy Watch. One user notes that The culprit is WhatsApp and the only solution is to remove it from your watch.although you won’t be able to create new messages on the watch without the help of Google Assistant.

Most complaints concern Samsung Healthas phantom vibrations are caused by removing app permissions. While this step is necessary to prevent battery drain, the downside is that you will experience random events with a certain pattern: one vibration followed by three more within two seconds.

Phantom vibrations are not unique to the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.

There is no official information from Samsung at the moment, so if you are suffering from ghost vibrations, you will have to run tests in Maps and WhatsApp to determine which of the two apps is the culprit. If you have disabled screen mirroring and uninstalled WhatsApp and they still appear, your only option is reactivate healthcare platform permissions.

It’s important to note that these vibrations aren’t limited to the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. A user mentioned on the forum that Random vibration occurred on Watch 4although less frequently (every two months). Others say you won’t have any problems as long as you don’t mess with Samsung Health, although the latter means sacrificing autonomy.

At the time of writing, there is no official response from Samsung. We’ve reached out to the company to see if they’re already working on a solution to the phantom vibrations issue, and will update the note when we hear any information. For now, just wait for a possible firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra that will resolve the issue.
