According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple orders suppliers not to increase iPhone 14 production. A few days ago, it was rumored that the demand for the iPhone 14 was higher than expected and that Apple was planning to increase the demand by about 6 million devices, but it seems that these plans have been canceled.

Apple is reportedly telling suppliers: Stop efforts to increase iPhone 14 production by up to 6 million units in the second half of the year. Apple had updated its sales forecasts in the weeks before the iPhone 14’s launch, but it seems that actual demand isn’t as high as expected.

Looks like the iPhone 14 isn’t as successful as Apple expected

Therefore the target remains 90 million iPhone 14s for this year. It’s a similar amount to what the company sold with the iPhone 13 series last year.

Less iPhone 14, more iPhone 14 Pro

It looks like Apple has given orders to move production by producing more iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max and less entry-level iPhone 14. In an other saying, demand for the basic iPhone 14 is much lower as expected.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14

Apple supports production of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

The truth is, Apple’s decisions are not surprising. All iPhone 14s have increased in price and The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the models with the most news.. New cameras with 48 megapixel main sensor, new design with Dynamic Island and new A14 Bionic chip. Therefore, it is normal for those who decide to spend so much money to choose the best.

this iPhone 14 increased by 100 euros compared to iPhone 13 in Spainand the differences are very small as we can verify. So, getting an iPhone 13 right now is much more recommended than getting an iPhone 14, it doesn’t seem like it’s worth the price difference.

Of course, nothing that surprises us. Also, Apple isn’t going to sell less than expected, it just hasn’t been the expected demand growth. It makes sense to see the rise in prices of the most basic models and the lack of innovation.
