Oceanic+, the advanced diving app for Apple Watch Ultra, is now available

One of the big selling points of the Apple Watch Ultra is its dive-focused features. While the watch already included specific features for the sport, Apple promised that a feature with advanced options and registration would be available after its launch. No sooner said than done, Oceanic+ is now available for Apple Watch Ultra users (exclusively) and can be downloaded from the App Store for free.

Designed for recreational diving, Oceanic+ turns your Apple Watch into a dive computer. From dive measurements and real-time data to a detailed record of every dive, everything is integrated into Oceaninc+, which also shows much more detailed information on the iPhone.

However, one of the most interesting features of Oceanic+ should serve as a dive planner. Through the app and Ultra, users can set surface time, depth and oxygen, and it will automatically calculate their no decompression (no decompression) time, a metric used to determine a diver’s time limit at a certain depth.

All necessary pre-dive information is also included, including tides, water temperature and even up-to-date information from the communitysuch as visibility of the sea and currents.

Oceanic+ for Apple Watch Ultra: basic features are free, but with a premium option

As with the rest of the Watch sports apps, additional data is included after a dive to analyze how your dive day went. Among the data provided by Oceanic+ Included are GPS entry and exit locations and a summary of your dive profile.. Also graphs of depth, temperature rise rate and no decompression limit.

According to Apple, one of the best features of Oceanic+ on the Apple Watch Ultra is haptic feedback. A functionality that allows the watch to notify with a series of vibrations, allowing divers to feel notifications underwater even through a 7mm wetsuit.

Oceanic+ is completely free for Apple Watch Ultra users. but includes premium features. The free basic plan offers many basic features, including depth and time, and a recent dive log.

To access decompression tracking, location planner and unlimited logbook stats you will have to pay $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.. Family sharing is also available, but you’ll have to pay extra: it starts at $129 per year for up to five people.
