Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, announced. new 300W fast charging technology. Surprisingly, the innovation came just four months after the brand was the first to offer over 200W charging.
The manufacturer released a video of a test with a modified version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro + with a 4,100 mAh battery to show the charging speed. Later, mobile reached 50% in 2 minutes and reached 100% in just 5 minutes.
As seen in Redmi’s promotional video, 300W speed is a theoretical maximum number. The smartphone hit 290W in just three seconds and is back to perform with less powerful speeds, but just as impressive.
According to the information, device was receiving lower wattage for safety reasons. The adapter itself with Double GaN technology has more than 50 levels of protection to prevent possible device overloads.
Despite the announcement of 300W fast charging technology, Redmi did not reveal when the innovation will be made available to the public. However, the expectation is that the next high-end version of the brand will already support this feature.
Which is the fastest charging mobile phone?
Right now, Realme GT Neo 5 is the fastest charging mobile on the market. The device supports up to 240W charging speed with SuperVOOC technology.
According to the brand, the 240W adapter fully charges the device’s 4,600mAh battery in less than 10 minutes. The only “negative point” is that the model exclusive to the Chinese market is not expected to gain a global press.
