Huawei today (23) presented the Mate X3 and said “world’s lightest folding phone”, weighs 239 g in addition to being just 5.3 mm thick. The new competitor of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 also draws attention with its waterproof IPX8 certification.

Starting with the screens, the external display is of OLED type with 6.4 inches, 2504 x 1080 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 20.9:9 aspect ratio. The larger, inner panel is also OLED, 7.85 inches, with a resolution of 2496 x 2224 pixels, a frequency of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 8:7.1.

The new teardrop hinge design allows it to close completely with no gaps between screens. The slimmer curve allows partial apertures for tripod-free selfies, while there’s also a split-screen mode for video calls and a nightstand mode that displays time and weather information.

Internally, Huawei Mate X3 It brings Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor working together with 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The operating system is Harmony OS 3.1.
