Apple has announced a new collaboration with Google to create technology for inclusion in their respective operating systems. features that prevent unwanted tracking with tracking accessories; one of the biggest problems with AirTags and similar devices.
The company, in particular, is working with Google on a “draft specification” of sorts that aims to make some of the security features that Apple has developed for its AirTags, available on both iOS and Android. Fortunately, third-party manufacturers who also sell similar devices such as Samsung, Tile, Eufy, Chipolo or Pebblebeehave demonstrated their support for this technology.
This set of features will serve prohibit people from placing tracking devices on people for the purpose of spying on themand that those who are being followed receive alerts to know that someone knows their whereabouts due to the facility.
Apple may outsource its AirTag anti-tracking feature to other manufacturers
Apple’s statement mentions that this new “industry specification” is based on a feature that prevents unwanted tracking and works on the Find My network.
This able to determine if a person has been with someone else’s AirTag for a long time thanks to the iPhone’s ability to detect nearby tracking devices. If the smartphone detects that the AirTag is moving around the iPhone for an extended period of time and the owner is not around, it notifies the user with a notification that allows location detection to be turned off.

Apple also confirmed that the Tracking Device Misuse Prevention feature was developed with feedback from manufacturers who have worked on features similar to Find My Network, as well as through various defense and security teams.
The company released the draft specification so that any manufacturer can provide feedback within the next three months.
