Samsung introduced this morning a new Galaxy model for the market, targeting the entry range of the same. Although most expected to see the Galaxy A, which has been quite successful since its inception, the Korean company announced the new Galaxy M13.
This new device is part of Samsung’s entry-level lineup, offering the company’s most affordable smartphones with somewhat understated specs.
The new Galaxy M13 will have a screen 6.6″ Infinity-Vwith Full HD+ resolution, IPSLCD Technology and apparently a 90Hz refresh rate (they don’t state this very clearly in their specs, although they are expected to be included).
Inside it will Exynos 850, the octa-core processor is very similar to what we see in the Galaxy A13 4G. It has 4 GB of RAM and two internal storage options, 64 or 128 GB, with support for expansion via microSD card from up to 1 TB.
All this to run Android 12 via Samsung OneUI Core 4.1thus getting the latest available versions of both Android and the company’s own customization level, something to consider for an entry-level product.
This new smartphone will have an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the back, it will have a triple camera configuration: a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and finally a 2MP depth sensor with an angled f/. 2.4.
Speaking of connectivity, this Galaxy M13 has two nano-SIM slots, 4G, GPS, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack and NFC. All this accompanied by a battery 5000 mAh and 15W charging.
In terms of security, this new smartphone will have side fingerprint readerlocated on the power button. It is also expected to support Samsung Knox, an advanced security service developed by the company itself.
The colors in which we can buy this Samsung M13 will be, at least initially, Deep green, copper orange and blue.
The price or release date of this new entry-level range from Samsung has not been confirmed but is expected, especially due to the processor this device is powered by. will be available on the European market in the coming days.
