Green plastic: the turning point comes from vegetable waste

First of all, it has a low cost and great versatility, which makes it approach and even exceed the performance of its more famous sister.

This green plastic turned out great resistance and compatibility:, opening the way for multiple uses. First of all, the green plastic obtained from vegetable waste can be used in packaging thanks to its high resistance. Precisely for this reason, it could definitively displace the traditional plastic used for packaging and packaging, opening the doors to a historic turning point.

Another area in which green plastic can be used is that of: textile, a sector in strong and continuous expansion. A sector that, due to the enormous demand for products, demands the same quality and reliability in terms of materials, with particular attention to the environment.

Finally, in terms of electronic devices it appears that this innovative material has passed the quality and performance tests. A first fundamental step towards the complete (hopefully) replacement of traditional plastic. The study is being conducted by the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne

What makes this bioplastic unique is the presence of the intact structure of sugars in plants. This makes it incredibly easy to make, as we don’t modify what’s already there, and also easy to break down, as it can be broken down into molecules that are found everywhere in nature.

In fact, it seems that they aldehydes, organic substances added to the waste of plant material, to stabilize it, compact it and prevent it from disintegrating.
