Among other innovations, the company, led by Satya Nadella, has unveiled an update to two of its main bastions in content creation and performance: Surface 5 laptop and Surface Studio 2+.

The Microsoft laptop comes with some important new hardware-level features that allow it to improve features on a daily basis, as well as some aesthetic changes with a new finish.

Surface Laptop 5, the Microsoft laptop with increased mobility and productivity

A new generation of Intel processors joins the EVO line, reaching optimize energy consumption. The new 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5 promises up to 18 hours of mobile use, while the 15-inch stops the clock at 17 hours of use.

At Microsoft, they leave the RAM and storage configuration open with options 8, 16 and 32 GB of RAM and 256, 512 or 1 TB of internal memory.

Newer laptops are equipped with a USB C port that supports Thunderer 4as well as a USB A port and a headphone jack, as well as support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Added to this hardware update is the inclusion of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU for laptops with 6GB GDDR6 memory dedicated video memory, doubling its predecessor’s capacity in graphics performance.

Surface Studio 2+’s most valuable asset is still it 28″ PixelSense touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio that tilts on the base thanks to a sophisticated hinge system that now also includes support for Dolby Vision IQ HDR content and Dolby Atmos audio.

Connecting to Surface Studio 2+ has been updated with Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a new set of hardware designed to enhance video calls, including 1080p webcam and a new integrated studio microphone array for improved voice reception.
