Nvidia’s new H100 Hopper GPU was announced at the GPU Technology Conference 2022 (GTC 2022). The next-generation GPU is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process and contains no less than 80 billion transistors. The GPU is for sale now and looks a bit more expensive than before.
A Japanese retailer has put the GPU for sale on its website for only 4,745,950 yen. It was converted to approximately 36,550 dollars or 34,663 euros. This includes VAT and shipping costs. The card itself costs 4,313,000 yen or 31,500 euros. This is the passively cooled PCI Express model for server enclosures. Prices for other models have not yet been revealed.
Nvidia H100 is a data center GPU based on the latest Hopper architecture and contains 80 billion transistors over an area of 814 mm2. The PCI Express 5.0 x16 version has 80GB of HBM2e memory with a memory speed of 2TB/s. Cuda core count is 14,592. There will also be a variant of sxm on the market with 16,896 cores and faster HBM3 memory. TDP of both models is 350 watts and 700 watts respectively.
