Wccftech has our hands on the alleged pricing and launch dates of the first Intel Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards. Reportedly, Team Blue will launch the A750 and A580 as well as two mid-range SKUs in late May/early June with the humble A380 a few weeks later. It is unclear when the top model will appear.
At the top of the list is the A750, which should perform similarly to the RTX 3060. Wccftech lists a suggested retail price of $350, which is $31 more than Nvidia. The A580 comes close to the RTX 3050 and at $280 will use the same surcharge compared to the Ampere boarding pass. The A380 is expected to arrive in July with a suggested retail price of $150. This model should match the performance level of the GTX 1650.
The best Alchemist board should compete with the Arc A780, RTX 3070 and RX 6700 XT.
While these suggested retail prices appear higher on paper than the prices of the RTX 3000 cards, in practice the latter still sell for higher rates. If the prices of video cards don’t drop particularly sharply over the next few weeks and Team blue manages to get these Arc GPUs in (virtual) stores at the aforementioned prices, it could be an attractively priced option.
