The debut of the new SoCs Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ it now seemed imminent to say the least, with Qualcomm in fact being ready to bring the devices to market in the not too distant future, but a recent report has cleared the matter up by revealing some particularly upsetting news. We are talking specifically about the well-known leaker Digital Chat Stationwho spoke out on the matter through the usual platform of Weibo

Apparently we are talking about a real one postponement of the new System on a Chip, which would have pushed the release date to the second half of 2022, making it impossible for several companies to put the devices in their phones right now. Certainly not positive news, with the causes of the problem that, according to the reports, should be specifically sought in the problem linked to Covid-19which made production particularly difficult recently, although the situation is gradually improving with a view to the summer.

We do not have to deal with official news again, also given that it is information from a leaker and unofficial, and that at the moment, in fact, the company has not even announced the new devices, with the whole that would happen according to what we know near launch.

We will therefore probably have to wait a few more months to receive news on this, with the following gems that could not offer too much better performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to justify a hypothetical Gen 2, which could therefore only be later be released. Apparently the first devices to offer the new SoC are the Motorola Edge 30 Ultraalthough it is possible that more and more companies already want to reach the next top.
