Disney + has released the main art and the trailer for Not alright, the new original movie arriving in Italy on July 29 on the streaming platform. Written and directed by Quinn Shephard, Not Okay stars Zoey Deutch, Dylan O’Brien, Mia Isaac, Embeth Davidtz, Nadia Alexander, Tia Dionne Hodge and Negin Farsad. Brad Weston and Caroline Jaczko are the producers of the film.
Not Okay follows Danni Sanders (Zoey Deutch), an aspiring writer with no goals, no friends, no sentimental perspectives and—worst of all—no followers, who fakes a trip to Paris by posting fake Instagram content in hopes to increase her popularity on social media. When a terrifying accident hits the City of Light, Danni inadvertently falls into a bigger lie than he ever imagined. She returns as a heroine, forms an unlikely friendship with Rowan (Mia Isaac), who survives a school shooting and committed to changing society, and wins the man of her dreams, Colin (Dylan O’Brien). As an influencer and activist, Danni finally has the life and audience he’s always wanted. But it’s only a matter of time before the idyllic picture bursts and Danni discovers the hard way that the web is full of people waiting to criticize the next one.
