The duo that collaborated on In Bruges, formed by Colin Farrell And Martin McDonaghhe finds himself for the movie The Banshees of Inisherina feature film that will have its world premiere on Venice 79. There will also be in the movie Brendan Gleeson (also present for In Bruges).

The main crew includes McDonagh’s director of photography and permanent collaborator Ben Davis, costume designer Eimer Ni Mhaoldomhnaigh, production designer Mark Tildesley and editor Mikkel EG Nielsen. The score is composed by Carter Burwell. McDonagh and his regular collaborators Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin of Blueprint Pictures are the producers of Searchlight Pictures and Film4. The film was shot on the islands of Inishmore and Achill on the west coast of Ireland.

Set on an island off the west coast of Ireland, The Banshees of Inisherin follows two old friends, Padraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson), who find themselves in a stalemate when Colm abruptly decides to end their friendship. Distraught and devastated, Padraic tries to rekindle their relationship with the support of his sister Siobhan (Kerry Condon), who, along with Dominic (Barry Keoghan), the local police officer’s son, has concerns within the small community of ‘Island’. But when Colm issues a shocking ultimatum to make his intentions come true, events begin to escalate.
