AMC released a new trailer for interview with the vampirethe TV series based on the novel by Anne Rice which elaborates on the events already told in the cult movie of the 1990s starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The first season will be released in the United States on October 2.

The protagonists of the project are Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, Jacob Anderson in the role of Louis de Pointe du Lac., Bailey Bass who will play the vampire child Claudia, while the character Lestat will be played by Sam Reid.
Alan Taylor directs the first episodes of the series. Rolin Jones will serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the series after signing a blanket deal with AMC Studios. While executive producers will be Mark Johnson and Christopher Rice.
Rolin Jones himself stated:
We know what and how much these books represent to a large and passionate fan base. We feel your weight on our shoulders, and we can assure you that Louis and Lestat are coming out of the dark, and we can’t wait to meet you.
