As promised, The Callisto protocol is back at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live with a new gameplay trailer. The video shows a battle sequence where we see the protagonist, Jacob, struggle with the various biophages that infest the Black Iron prison, as well as revealing some new features such as the ability for enemies to use a special mutation. As explained by Glen Schofield, if not killed quickly, some enemy types can transform and become more powerful and aggressive.

We remind you that the Callisto protocol: history by Jacob Lee grapples with the exploration of the maximum security prison on Callisto, Jupiter’s second largest moon, which contains unspeakable horrors. The game will also take advantage of a technique called “Horror Engineering”, which combines various components such as atmosphere, tension, violence and a sense of helplessness with the aim of inducing an unprecedented sense of terror.

The Callisto protocol is available from Dec 2, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4 and Xbox One.
