While Sony expected the new subscription to be available in June, they have announced specific dates today. We say “days” because the date may vary depending on the region. In fact, the Asian market will be the first to enjoy it. Here is the list:
- Asia (except Japan): May 23
- Japan: 1 June.
- America: 13 June.
- Europe: 22 June.
The Americas, of course, include Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the countries of Central and South America. For their part, players in Spain will be able to access the new PlayStation Plus from June 22.
As you may remember, PlayStation Plus will now be split into three different plans. The first one, PlayStation Plus Basics, will offer the same as the current membership. That is, the possibility of playing online, two free games per month and exclusive discounts.
This is from the following tierby the name PlayStation Plus Extrawhere the first novelties appear. This subscription will give you access to the catalog 400 games for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Offers include both exclusive titles and third party.
The most attractive plan, and also the most expensive of all, is PlayStation Plus Premium. In addition to the same benefits as tiers above, add to 340 classic games for PS1, PS2, PS3 (streamed) and PS Vita.. As part of this membership, you can also enjoy Essential and Extra tier games via streaming. Finally, you will have limited trial versions of some games so that you can test them before a possible purchase.

PlayStation Plus Premium won’t be coming to Latin America, but…
If you live in Latin America, you should be aware that the Premium option will not be available in your country.. Why? Because the region does not have the necessary infrastructure for Sony cloud gaming. This is necessary in order to be able to enjoy PS3 games.
Instead, Sony will offer playstation plus deluxe, a subscription that includes almost all of the premium offerings except for PS3 games and cloud play. To make up for the shortcomings, the Deluxe level will have a lower price. This is how all options for Latin America are compiled (prices in dollars):
|PlayStation Plus basics||PlayStation Plus Extra||PlayStation Plus Deluxe|
|$6.99 per month / $16.99 per quarter / $39.99 per year||$10.49 per month / $27.99 per quarter / $66.99 per year||$11.99 per month / $31.99 per quarter / $76.99 per year|
Please note that taxes are added in certain territories. In Mexico, for example, we must add 16% VAT.
