In the first quarter of 2023, there are 59% more freelance women accepting payments through YuKassa than men. Payment turnover for women was 66% higher than for men, while payments accepted for women were 30% lower. For the first quarter, the maximum average check for self-employed women amounted to 2.6 thousand rubles, which is 69% more than for men. This is stated in the study of the YuKassa service. The majority of individual entrepreneurs and self-employed men and women work in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in the Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Rostov and Novosibirsk regions, the study notes.
The most profitable for both was the field of tourist services. For self-employed women, merchandise delivery and educational courses, tutorials and master classes also became the most profitable categories.
The report took into account data on payments that entrepreneurs accepted from clients through YuKassa in January-March 2022 and 2023. Individual entrepreneurs and freelancers accept payments from clients in various ways: with bank cards, through SberPay, using a QR code and other methods.
- In Russia, there are now 6.5 million people who are self-employed, by the end of 2023 their number may grow to 10 million people, analysts of the Nimix service predict. The total income of employees of this format of work in 2022 amounted to 125.8 billion rubles.
