The cost of developing Star Citizen now exceeds the combined costs of creating GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the information published by Ginx.tv, Rockstar spent $137 million on Grand Theft Auto V and cost Red Dead Redemption 2 $170 million. CD Projekt RED, which created Cyberpunk 2077, received $174 million.
However, Star Citizen’s budget significantly exceeded these figures, reaching $590 million, making it by far the most expensive game in the world from its competitors.
It is important to note that this game was never officially released. The only thing is, anyone can try it within the framework of early access. You just need to buy a starter pack.
