Russian companies in 2022 declared revenue of 1.27 quadrillion rubles. This is almost double what it was in 2021. For the first time in history, the figure exceeded 1 quadrillion rubles.
Company profits grew by only 5.9%, from 29.4 trillion rubles to 31.1 trillion rubles. At the same time, it actually decreased, taking into account inflation of 13.8%, RBC drew attention to the statistics of the Federal Tax Service (FTS).
Experts suggested that the discrepancy between revenue and profit is due to increased costs due to the pressure of sanctions.
The Federal Tax Service report notes that the revenue growth is due to “an increase in export revenues from organizations primarily in the oil and gas industry of the economy, as well as a recovery in demand for goods, works and consumer services. .”
Russians’ taxable income rose 19% last year to 41.4 trillion rubles. The department attributed this to the growth in wages and the restoration of business activity.
- In 2022, according to Aktion Finance, almost 70% of companies increased their income: every third of them increased the figure by at least 50%. Companies in the field of hotels and public catering, culture and the field of education grew more actively. Last year, only 9% had losses. A third of companies noted a drop in profit, while only 14% – by more than 50%.
