VTB Digital Bank will move to the VKontakte social network on July 1, 2023. Due to a Roskomnadzor ban, a credit institution cannot provide services via Telegram.
As RIA reports with reference to the VTB Assistant bot on Telegram, the banking service will move from messenger to VKontakte from July 1.
The report clarifies that the new platform will have “everything the same” with the same level of security. All personal information will remain on the bank’s servers.
To use the bank in VK, you will need:

Sign in to the social media app.

Log in to the VTB community.

Start a conversation with the bot.

Click on the “VTB Online” button.

In January 2023, VTB launched mobile banking on the Telegram messenger, where a credit institution provides services using a chatbot. On March 1, Roskomnadzor banned Russian banks from transmitting information to customers via foreign services, including Telegram.
In April, VTB announced that it would move its digital bank to VKontakte, where customers could carry out more than 80% of their daily transactions. Testing was planned to be completed by the end of April.
