Researchers from the Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI and the Institute of Thermal Physics. SS Kutateladze of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has developed a universal burner device that will make it possible to evaluate the “waste” hydrocarbon waste.

The world accumulates used oils, petroleum production and processing wastes, and mechanically contaminated liquid combustible hydrocarbons every year. Now in Russia there are about 100 million tons of combustible waste.

To solve the problem, the burning of Siberian scientists is called. One of the developers, Ivan Sadkin, said the development is intended to be used where there is no district heating or gas supply. The facility will generate heat at low cost and in compliance with emission standards, thanks to its patented combustion method in the presence of steam.

The burner is cheaper than foreign analogues: its cost is 100 thousand rubles against 200-300. The expert says that there are no analogues in terms of fuel versatility in the 100 kilowatt range. Also, the device is scalable – to increase power from 15-20 kilowatts to one megawatt.
