According to Lushnikov, the enterprise is actively working on arming aircraft crews, improving unmanned aerial vehicles and developing various types of ammunition. The focus of modernization is to improve the ergonomic and user qualities of weapons.
The changes are designed to make it more convenient and efficient for military personnel to perform their duties. As part of the changes, the switch for three fire modes has been adjusted: the double shot mode has been removed and a two-pronged fire mode switch has been introduced.
The rifle’s aiming device has also been modernized – it now has a folding sight that allows you to shoot from different distances. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of the year, after the necessary tests and pre-production have been completed.
