The company has sent hundreds of support staff to the facility in Japan, and more will be added soon. According to industry sources, the installation of chip production equipment is expected to start in October and be completed in the first quarter of 2024.

The plant is scheduled to start production by the end of next year and may even be ahead of schedule. TSMC has made great strides in Japan thanks to more advanced chip industry infrastructure, rapid government support, and fewer regulatory and logistical hurdles.

While the Japanese government allocated $3.5 billion in subsidies to the TSMC project, the United States has just finalized legislation to support the industry. And these are not all the problems of the enterprise.
