Entrepreneur Maxim Terekhov’s venture fund GTS Ventures has invested in two British crypto startups. This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of the fund.
London-based startup Obscuro raised a $5.85 million round from GTS Ventures, Republic Capital, KuCoin Labs, Magnus Capital, Big Brain Holdings, Builder Capital and others.
Obscuro is a layer 2 rollup of the Ethereum ecosystem, which aims to preserve transaction privacy. The startup will use the funds raised to make transactions faster and cheaper without compromising user security.

Another London-based startup, Smilee, has raised $2 million from GTS Ventures, Dialectic, Synergis Capital, Concave Ventures, Owl Ventures, Yunt Capital, Dewhales Capital and others.
Smilee is a comprehensive online options and derivatives service. The startup will use the funds received to develop new products for various financial systems.
Maxim Terekhov founded GTS Ventures in 2021. During this time, the fund has invested in more than 30 projects, with a total investment volume of more than $4 million. The fund’s main focus is on FinTech, Layer Solutions, AI, SocialFi and DeFi projects.
