Graduates of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) created the Anix neural network to work with 2D animation. You will be able to simplify the production of animated videos and cartoons. Its main feature is that the neural network can draw the remaining intermediate movements of the characters in two frames, writes Izvestia.

A neural network appeared in Russia to work with 2D animation

According to the developers, this will help significantly reduce the cost of the process and reduce the time for creating animations. Experts are confident that the technology will be popular on the market, but for now the project requires significant improvements.

In mid-October, Sber taught its Kandinsky neural network to generate animated videos based on text descriptions. Kandinsky 2.2 users will be able to receive a four-second animated video based on a text description. The video resolution is 640×640 pixels and the frame rate is 24 per second. One second of video is generated on average 20 seconds.
