The new product, which was previously used in the gaming industry to increase performance and visual quality, can now be integrated into a wide variety of Windows software.

An Automatic Super Resolution feature has been discovered in Windows 11 insider version 24H2, which allows users to automatically enable super resolution or configure it for individual applications via System Settings → Display → Graphics.

The new capability will likely use NPU/AI cores, including GPU tensor cores, to perform its tasks. Meanwhile, it can open new horizons in improving the visual quality of old or retro games that have never received official support for image enhancement technologies.
