SpaceX launched the Crew Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). It will deliver to the station the crew of the Crew-8 mission, which includes Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin.

The launch vehicle was launched from the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The broadcast was made on the NASA website. Crew Dragon is expected to dock with the orbital station on March 5.

Alexander Grebenkin became the fourth Russian to fly to the International Space Station on the Crew Dragon. His shipment was carried out as part of the cross-flight program between Russia and the United States.

In October 2022, the Russian Anna Kikina arrived at the ISS; In March and August of last year, cosmonauts Andrei Fedyaev and Konstantin Borisov were delivered to the station.

Russia and the United States signed a two-year cross-flight agreement in July 2022. At the end of 2023 it was extended until 2025 by two more cross-flights.
