In this way, the company wants to motivate workers to queue more frequently during a period when “the number of orders increases many times and there are not enough drivers.” Innovation, in particular, will allow them to obtain additional benefits.

The company first tested commission reduction last winter. During heavy snowfall, demand for taxi rides was significantly higher. At the same time, many drivers refused to take shifts in bad weather or spent more time on individual orders due to the difficult road situation.

When the service decided to reduce the commission, the number of people willing to work during those periods increased. The company states that the measure made it possible to equalize the balance between supply and demand, as well as stabilize service prices in case of bad weather.

According to the company, reducing commissions in December and January helped drivers earn more than half a million rubles in additional income.

Additionally, during the run-up to the New Year and during bad weather, when there is peak demand for taxi services, the service faced a severe shortage of available drivers.

The service noted that there is still a shortage of drivers in the sector. Previously, at the end of last year, the company decided to multiply investments by 1.5 to attract drivers to Russia.
