Four smartphones fixed on lightweight carbon holders rose to an altitude of 36,576 meters using hydrogen-filled balloons.

Controlled by the onboard computer, the 3D platform changed shooting angles, allowing the S24 Ultra to capture the beauty of the American West from different angles.

Photos taken with the main camera as well as 1x, 3x and 5x zoom show stunning detail in landscapes from metropolitan areas to canyons and mountain peaks.

The flight took place between January 25 and 31 from different locations: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and the mountains of Nevada. Samsung’s goal was to “demonstrate the S24 Ultra’s capabilities in a variety of conditions” and judging by the results, the mission was successful.
