Apple has filed a lawsuit against its former employee Andrew Oda, accusing him of violating the company’s confidentiality agreement.

According to Apple, he provided journalists from The Wall Street Journal and The Information with information about Apple Vision Pro and the Diary application, which had not yet been released at that time.

Worked at Apple since 2016, right after graduating from college. He carefully optimized battery performance so he had access to “information on dozens of Apple’s most important projects.” The security service learned about the leaks in December 2023, and then the engineer was fired.

The Duma company will resolve this issue out of court. I partially admitted my guilt, but refused to cooperate with Apple.

Apple asked for a jury trial and $25,000 in damages.
