The beta version of WhatsApp gained a feature that suggests people to start a chat. Published on website wabetainfo Recently, the tool aims to encourage interaction with more users by showing friends, acquaintances and family who are saved on your mobile phone and have not yet interacted with you.
On the main screen of Messenger, the “Start chat” section appears at the end of the conversation list. This section shows that person’s name, profile photo, and “Last Seen” (if available), and tapping the profile sends the user into the chat.
The change is not a major addition to the messenger, but it is a clear incentive to interact with more people registered in the contact list. This space makes starting a chat faster and easier, while also keeping the list of conversations saved on the device intact.
This section is also a good way to rediscover contacts saved on your phone; Perfect for saying “Hello, missing.” Additionally, if the suggestions do not work, the user can disable the feature by tapping the “X” icon in the right corner.
in test
For now, the tool is only available to WhatsApp Beta testers for Android. The functionality must be launched in the TestFlight program messenger (iOS) before it is publicly available.
There are no predictions regarding the exact launch of the new product.
