Roskomnadzor took a step to completely restrict access to the website of cloud provider Amazon Web Services. Information about this is reflected on the department’s website.

It is reported that the blocking of the Amazon Web Services website began on April 15, 2024. As of October 27, 2023, the ban from search results was applied to the resource.

Amazon Web Services did not meet the requirements of the Russian “landing” law. It covers companies whose website audience in Russia exceeds 500 thousand people per day. The law obliges such companies to open an office in Russia, create a form for receiving user feedback on their website and register a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website.

On April 12, Roskomnadzor blocked the websites of several hosting providers. Previously, measures in the form of restrictions on search results were applied to the Internet resources of companies that had not landed in Russia.
