“The information that the company offers its partners to switch to a new video surveillance system is related to the launch of the test. We plan to start viewing videos from CCTV cameras directly at delivery points in test mode,” the Ozon press service explained to RB.RU.
The company hopes that in the future this will help process requests in case of loss of goods and simplify the work of the owners of the collection point: they will not have to send a video to analyze claims, the market will be able to see everything itself.
As part of the test, the company invites up to 1,000 points (2% of the point network) to participate. “Starting April 22, we will launch this type of monitoring with test participants: we will provide instructions on how to connect and what to do, and we will collect feedback on the service,” said an Ozon representative.
The test will last several months; Based on the results and feedback, the market will determine if it is worth offering this solution to all partners.
Wildberries now has access to CCTV cameras at its collection points.
