According to the control authority, the breakdown affected more than 3,000 packages. The Prosecutor General’s Office demanded that the Russian Post and the Federal Customs Service “ensure adequate interaction.”

In the personal account of Russian Post in the Federal Customs Service there were not enough funds to issue them. The money will be transferred to the account on May 2, the message says.

The Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that the transfer of parcels awaiting payment of customs duties due to “lack of proper planning on the part of JSC Russian Post” will not fall into the category of “return.”

Since April 30, there have been delays in the processing of packages. The Federal Customs Service reported that this was due to a lack of funds in the personal account of the Russian Post to pay customs duties. The service assured that the proportion of such packages is 0.2%.
