The US Drug Administration has granted Neuralink permission to implant a brain neuroimplant in a second patient. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Sources told the newspaper that Neuralink plans to carry out the operation in June 2024. The company received more than a thousand applications from those who wanted to participate in the experiment.
Neuralink implanted its first chip in a patient in January 2024. He was able to control the computer mouse cursor and play chess with his mind, but then problems arose in the operation of the chip. The implant began to move away from the brain tissue; Neuralink assured that it would solve the problems.
