The Ministry of Transport has developed a draft federal law giving the right to operate the ERA-GLONASS emergency response system in case of accidents.
Nowadays the use of this system is actively disappearing for:
• Monitoring the movement and condition of various types of sports equipment and equipment.
• Obtaining information about units with various types of small vessels equipped with satellite navigation equipment with a reduced call to emergency services.
• Obtaining information and emergency notification of emergency situations with light and ultra-light vessels.
• Ensuring the collection and processing of telemetric generated information, constant monitoring of the driver’s condition.
• For the purpose of regulating the speed of movement, individual mobility (SIM) in pedestrian and other low-lying areas.
Now ERA-GLONASS is used for emergency response to road accidents. The law is expected to come into force in March 2025. [РБК]
