Microsoft recently announced the introduction of a new feature called Recall in Windows 11. It takes all the screenshots you take on your computer and allows you to view your PC screen at the current moment in time.
Despite the company’s promises of a secure and encrypted experience, cybersecurity expert Kevin Beaumont found the II-based feature to have some potential security flaws and called it “catastrophic.” So, it stores some information in its usual form.
Screenshots are taken every few seconds. They automatically run on your device and access the SQLite data in the user’s mailbox. This file contains a record of everything you’ve ever viewed on your PC in plain text.

The database is stored locally on the PC, but is stored in the AppData folders if you are saved by an administrator. However, in some cases this database is available even to ordinary users.
The problem is that we remember that leading competitive programs and attackers steal information. Hackers can view everything you’ve ever done on your computer in just a few seconds. [The Verge]
