About the size of a coffee maker, AWD uses a six-stage filtration system that includes layers of cotton and activated carbon, followed by ultraviolet light treatment, to achieve a 99.9% purification rate. It also comes with a HEPA air filter to clean the air around it.
It is available in two sizes: the “Primary Edition” produces up to 14 liters of water per day and the “Pro Edition” can produce up to 19 liters of water. Optional solar panel makes it suitable for outdoor use.
Despite existing devices like the Watergen Mobile Box and other expensive atmospheric water generators, AWD offers a more affordable alternative, starting at $329 on Indiegogo. The campaign has already exceeded its funding goal by more than 2,200%, with deliveries expected in September 2024.
