Microsoft paused Windows 11 24H2 update without explanation

Microsoft Availability of preview version has been suspended Windows 11 For members of the Windows Insiders program. The build, the distribution of which has been stopped by the company, is the latest update of the operating system called Windows 11 24H2 version Insider Release Preview Channel.

Microsoft stopped offering the download without fanfare late last week, about 15 days after launch. However, the company only informed the public with a small update on the issue on the official blog.

“We are taking a temporary break Implementation of Windows 11, version 24H2 in the Release Preview Channel. We will continue to launch in the coming weeks“, the statement reads without additional information.

Why did Microsoft pause the update?

24/7 availability of Windows 11, according to The Register website was full of arguments and complaints recently. The release is a major change to the operating system with many additions and changes to the platform.

One of them is the implementation of support for the Wi-Fi 7 wireless broadband standard. What’s more, the controversial Recall feature will only start working by taking screenshots of computers, even on devices that are part of the Copilot Plus PC family.

However, following complaints, a recent change in the brand’s plans resulted in this feature being withdrawn and the function becoming optional.

Users who installed the update would complain greatly about system freezing and loss of performance, as well as technical and compatibility issues.
