Local marketing and geopromotion service Pointer has replaced its CEO. The company, instead of co-founder Artem Efremov, was headed by Evgeny Lebedev, one of the participants of DocsInBox. Previously, the company acquired 10.8% of Pointer from the ISLA fund.

DocsInBox co-founder Evgeny Lebedev has become the new CEO of Pointer LLC. As RB.RU wrote, in June Doxinbox LLC (the Russian legal entity of DocsInBox), in which Lebedev holds 9.1%, acquired 10.8% of Pointer, previously owned by the ISLA fund (owned by TilTech). On July 1, an entry was made about the change of the general director in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Since 2019, Pointer’s CEO has been held by its co-founder Artem Efremov, who holds the largest stake in the company’s authorized capital – 44.59%. Olga Bolotova and Maria Niggol each hold another 22.29%.

The main participants of Doxinbox LLC, besides Lebedev, are Frii Invest LLC, co-founders of the YallaMarket product delivery service Leonid Dovbenko and Stanislav Seleznev, and the Investplus investment fund.

Pointer publishes information on Yandex Maps, Google Maps, 2GIS, Zoon and other platforms, and also collects reviews about the company on maps, review sites, stores and other platforms into a single feed.

Doxinbox offers automated solutions for restaurants, document management in a single window.

Pointer has already attracted the attention of venture capitalists twice.

  • In 2021, the venture fund QVentures acquired 10.5% of Pointer and invested 40 million rubles in the company. Two years later, the founders bought out the fund’s stake.

  • In January 2020, Pointer attracted investments worth 10 million rubles from the ISLA fund. Thanks to the round, the company showed 3.5-fold growth in revenue and 2.5-fold growth in ARR by the end of 2020, RB.RU writes.

The largest players in the market of such services are RocketData (managing data of more than 190 thousand client branches), Pinbox (100 thousand branch cards) and Pointer (serving 95 thousand client branches), RB.RU wrote.

The company has shown good results over the past year. Pointer’s revenue in 2023 increased 1.5 times to 166.2 million rubles, and net profit increased 2.4 times to 39.2 million rubles.
