The number of mobile game developers on RuStore has tripled

The main source of revenue for mobile game developers is in-game payments, such as exclusive packs or character skins. The monthly increase in this type of in-store purchases was 22% in the first half of 2024 compared to the beginning of the year.

According to RuStore, over the past six months, more than 2,000 new products have appeared in the store. The growth is explained by the activity of the app store audience, as well as the development of promotional tools.

RuStore is the official Russian store of mobile applications for Android, developed by VK together with the largest Russian IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. The store contains about 40 thousand applications from technology companies, banks, mobile operators, marketplaces and other players.

• In February 2024, it became known that the monthly audience of RuStore reached 29 million people. This is about a third of the RuNet audience.
• In June, RuStore COO Ilya Sverchkov reported that the number of publishers from China on the platform was growing (fivefold in six months) and that of the 40,000 apps on the market, a third were hosted by foreign developers.
